The Bleak-Voice Blues

Well, its going around. You have probably had it too. And if you didn't have it, you know someone who did. Yes, thats right. "The crud." I'm still getting over it. It started as a scratchy throat on Saturday. By Sunday night, my voice was going out. Monday morning I had to cancel my therapy sessions because I couldn't get my coughing under control. Plus, how good is a speech therapist that can't speak? My voice was shot! I had the "bleak-voice blues!" Today, its a little better. I still have the cough, so I took cough medicine this morning, but it has made me drowsy! My voice comes and goes. Hopefully by Wednesday, all will be well with Stace! Can I getta "what what?"

Bummer Deal, Dude!

Dude. I'm bummed. Spring break is basically over. I'm sitting here at my computer on Sunday night trying to work on stuff to do tomorrow with a client. My brain has been non-functioning for too long now and I think it has turned into mush. All I can think of is how I want to sleep the day away tomorrow, and I can't!!! I used to think spring break was the best thing about school. But I've come to realize that the fact that you have to go BACK to school when its over is not so great....spring break is of the devil! haha! juuust kiddin! I've really enjoyed the time off, and I guess if I have to, I'll go back tomorrow. Life must go on people! It must go on!

My Sunny Saturday!

Today is an aboslutely beautiful day! I love the spring weather! Sun is shining, breeze is blowing, and the temperature is juuuuust right! So, I got up this morning, ran some errands (post office, bank, etc.) and headed to the tennis courts. (I've been wanting to practice my serves.) It was nice because no one was there, so I had the courts to myself. I got about 45 minutes worth of practicing in. I wanted to practice longer, but the wind was so strong that it was hard to control my serve. So, I decided to head home. I've done some cleaning, and I'm about to start laundry. I'm trying to get a lot of my errands/house work done at the beginning of my break so I wont have to do it during or at the end.

Tonight I'm getting together with a bunch of friends. Don't really know what we'll be doing yet. Most likely we'll have dinner and play games or watch a movie or something.

Okay, back to my chores!

It's Almost Here!

Well Ladies and Gents! It is almost here. I can't believe that this glorious week has almost arrived. Oh, you don't know which week I'm referring to? That would be Spring Break, baby! Heck yes! I have no plans to go out of town, which is kind of a bummer, but I'll enjoy just having the week off. One day I'm getting together with an old friend to work on scrapbooking (which I haven't had hardly ANY time for lately...I need to catch up)! Another day of Spring Break is dedicated to "fund-raising." The girls I'm staying with in Austin (for TSHA Convention) and I are having a fund-raiser to make money to pay for our hotel, etc. Other than that, my schedule is wide open folks. So if you wanna hang out or come visit, just give me a holler! (like anyone really reads this anyway! haha!) :)
