So, my life feels like it's so crazy right now. So much stuff is going on. I'm actually surprised that my head is still attached!
I have this HUGE test tomorrow in this ridiculously stupid class. There are like 150 vocabulary terms, and 10 essay questions. And its not like the terms are easy words like "telephone" and "breakfast" (don't ask where those words came from...I have no idea). Its words like "Reactive Arrangements Effect." Who comes up with this crapola? Man, its tough stuff. And a lot of it starts to overlap, and it becomes really confusing. So anyway, to study, I took the day off from my internship, and I've been studying ALL DAY LONG! I got to Gina's around 9:30 so we could study together. I didn't leave her house until 6:00. How insane is that? And guess what? I'm headed to church here in a bit, and I'll be studying again tonight after church. I guess this is what graduate school is all about, huh?
Other news...
So a friend of mine from school (Lauren) has "set me up" with one of her husband's friends. Lauren is a really good friend, and she knows me pretty well, so she wouldn't set me up with a dud. Anyway, he's a Christian, and a musician. In fact, he's a worship leader for his church, and travels the world ministering. He grew up around ministry because his dad was a pastor, etc. So, Lauren gave this guy my email address. We've communicated through email, and he seems really nice. I am taking things very slowly though. I'm in NO rush whatsoever. Anyway, not sure if this will go anywhere, but I guess we shall see.
Change of topic...
I know you are all dying for the next installment from my trip to San Diego, but no time for that now. I'll post it after the test on Thursday. I've got to head to church! Later!

San Diego Part 1
Okay, well I've created a movie on iMovie with my pictures and video clips from the San Diego trip, and its almost 10 minutes long. So, obviously, I have a ton of pictures. So I've decided to post Part 1 and Part 2. Don't worry, I'm not showing every picture I took, or else there would be 10 parts instead of only two. Part 1 will include pictures taken around San Diego, while Part 2 will contain pictures from the infamous San Diego Zoo.

Taken at the bay at Seaport Village

This was a pretty pool that was shallow with palm trees in it. I wanted to walk around in the pool, but there were "No Wading" Signs...bummer.

View from the upper floor of the convention center (it was probably about 4 or 5 stories high). There's the trolley we took every day (we got to be pros at public transportation).

Gina accidentally took the picture before I was ready, but I decided to keep it because I just wanted to capture the beautiful trees that lined this street.

The buildings in Balboa Park were amazingly beautful! (I look so small!!!)
Well, that's all for now folks. Stay tuned for the pictures from the zoo!

Happy Late Thanksgiving!
Hey everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. My family drove up to the DFW area to spend time with extended family on my mom's side. We had a great time! Tons of food and lots of laughter!
My San Diego trip was absolutely amazing...I had a wonderful time! No worries! There are pictures to come soon!
Well, I've got to go. I'm finishing up some Christmas shopping online, and I've got to get some school work done. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
PS - Go buy War of the Worlds! I just watched it for the first time on our new jumbo widescreen TV. It was awesome!

Can't Wait!!!
Okay, so tomorrow I fly out of Houston and head to San Diego, California! I'm so stinkin' excited! You have no idea! I'm going with a really good friend of mine, Gina, and we're gonna have a blast. We're going up there for the ASHA Convention, but we're treating it more like a vacation.
Also, guess what? Coldplay has announced a winter leg of their tour!!! So if you can remember, I was all bummed out because Hurricane Rita cancelled the September show. But I now have a second chance to see them! I'm happy about that!
I've got some great things to look forward to, and I can't wait! :) Speaking of which...
My birthday is a little over a month away (December 27th). I'll be turning 25. How crazy is that? I'm only 5 years away from turning 30. Man, time flies when you're having fun, doesn't it? :) Anyway, I've never really had a great birthday bash or anything. So, I'd like to do something fun this year, and it looks like I'll have to plan it all myself (which is fine). I was thinking of doing something on New Years Eve (Sat night) and treat it like a joint party (...my birthday/new years). I'm not really sure if that will jive, but maybe. Plus, I'm not really sure what I could do, or where to have it. Any suggestions or tips?
Alright. I've got things to do. Finish laundry, finish packing, run errands...man, I've gotta go. I'll see you all on the flip side!

Whatta Weekend!
So I had a really great weekend! I had the opportunity to escape life and went out-of town to visit some old friends! It was quite a journey. I left Friday afternoon around 3:00. I wasn't really looking forward to the four hour trip, but I knew I would be glad I took it, once I arrived in Quitman, Texas.
Oh, and I had an experience on the way up there. I'll tell you about it. I was in the left lane, and a big monster white pick-up truck was in the right. We were slowing down as we began to enter the next hick town on this trip. I look ahead and see something gray dart out in front of this white truck, and then BAM! This unknown creature gets hit, and flops over in my lane, and I had to swerve to miss it. It totally shocked me, especially because when I got closer, I saw it was a cat. It was really sad...Anyway, that was just a side note.
I'm borrowing my parents digital camera for the time being, which means pictures are here! Hopefully I'll get a new camera for Christmas or my birthday.
Anyway, I went up to Quitman to visit my good friend Heidi. She just had another baby, Kelaiah Faith Lee! She's the cutest little thing! Wouldn't you agree?

I snapped another photo with big sister, Moriah giving Kelaiah sweet kisses!

Here is one of me holding her...she's so tiny!!!

On Saturday, as I was getting ready, Moriah (along with Isaiah and Elijah) were huddled around me as I put on my makeup. Apparently, they were enamored with the whole process. Moriah wanted me to do her makeup, so of course, I indulged in making up a precious 3-year old child!

I had a great time visiting with Heidi. Man, we go way back. I really enjoyed seeing her beautiful children, including her new bundle of joy, Kelaiah.
For the end of my trip, I hung out with a long-time friend, Bryan. (We were wanting to hang out when I was up there during our evacuation, but we got to go home quicker than originally thought. So we didn't have time to hang out.) We watched a movie (which was hilarious), and ordered some pizza. (Thanks again for the pizza, Bryan!) I had a good time.
Oh, and the gas prices are totally lower in the Quitman area. (Even though I don't really know you, Kent, this is for you, because I know how much you enjoy hearing about gas prices...hahaha) Here in Beaumont, they have lowered, but are still around $2.35-$2.45 a gallon. Further north, I saw some around $2.15, and saw one at $2.03. But the lowest I saw was at the Diamond Shamrock in Lindale, Texas. It was $1.99 a gallon! I haven't seen gas prices that low since...well dang, I don't remember the last time they were that low. Anyway, I pulled out my camera, and snapped a picture behind me hoping to catch it on camera to prove I wasn't making this up! The picture is a bit fuzzy because my friggin' tint job on my rear window is bubbling up. Ha!

I left Saturday night around 8:15, and at about 9:45 the Sandman was hitting me upside the head. Man! I was seriously thinking of stopping to get a hotel room, because I didn't know if I would make it. But I didn't really want to stop, so I just kept going. I blared "Hillsong United" a couple times over. I spent some quality time with God on the way home. It was nice. And to top it off, I saw a shooting star! It was awesome!

Ahhhh...whatta life!
Ya know, I've been feeling great lately. I have a wonderful family. My sister is my best friend. I've got some great friends at school who totally have my back, and will always be there for me. I have a great church that I love! And my God is an awesome God!!! (He reigns from heaven above, with wisdom, power and love.....you know the song...sing along!)
Oh, I almost forgot. I'm totally going to San Diego in about 2-3 weeks! I can't wait! It's gonna be a blast!
