I forgot about "Forfa July!"

Well well well...looks like Staci forgot to post the only two pictures she got to take on "Forfa July!" Kenan and I went downtown to Riverfront park and moseyed around a bit. There was a really cool jazz band playing, and the lady singing had a great voice! Mom, Dad and Laura picked us up in the boat, and we had dinner out on the water! Here is a picture of Mom and Laura cheesin' for the camera!

Then, I got Mom to take a picture of me and Kenan, with the lovely sunset behind us. It was really hot that day, thus the ponytail!

I tried to get one of Dad and some fireworks (they were soooo beautiful!), but the batteries ran out on the camera! Shucks! Anyway, hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Driving to the Airport

Last weekend my friend Michelle came in from North Carolina! It was great to see her, and I really enjoyed getting to spend some time with her. She flew into Houston Hobby Airport, so it was just me, my cherries and Kenan's digital camera all the way to H-Town.

Me and my Cherries

Whew, look at that storm brewin' a little northwest of me! Glad I'm not there!

The Storm

Just a little bored on the straight-a-way from Winnie to Baytown!

A little bored

Once arriving at the airport, it was very easy to find where I should pick Michelle up!

Passenger Pickup

Of course, I got there as soon as her plane landed, so I had to make about five or six laps around the airport while waiting, but it wasn't too bad...I got to see this water fountain......five or six times!

Water Fountain

Okay, okay! So I know the suspense is just killing you right now. Where the crud is Michelle? Well she actually took this picture with her camera. I stole it from her myspace site! ;) I just made it black and white! Thanks, Michelle!

Me and Michelle

That night we went to see The Red Airplanes play in Orange, Texas. We had a fun time! Love ya Shellie! Oh, and if you think Michelle is hot, you should check her out! HAHA!

The Uni-What?

So this past weekend, Kenan and I got to talking about pens. Yes folks, ink pens. (I know...we're one wild and crazy duo!) Anyway, back to the pens. There was a pen in his truck which started the whole conversation. The brand on the pen read "Uni Ball." I've seen this brand before, in fact, I'm sure I've used this brand of pens before. Now, here's the question. Is it just me, or does Uni Ball make you think of a poor fella with only one testicle? I guess because Uni Ball reminds me of unibrow...ya know, the pitiful ill-informed schmuck who thinks one solid line of fuzzy wrongness across his brow is attractive. So you can see how I'm always lead to the thought of one testicle when I see the name Uni Ball across an ink pen.

So, maybe the conversation we had wasn't entirely about ink pens??? Well anyway, next time you use a pen with the aforementioned suggestive brand, you'll think about this little post!

Good night my friends!

PS - More pictures to come soon...do not fret little ones! ;)

Justin's Wedding (aka COTR Quitman Reunion!)

A couple of weeks ago an old friend, Justin Reyes got married! If you recall, a few posts ago I mentioned going up to old Quitman, Texas with my brother, Nathan. I've got some pictures for you. (Disclaimer: The photos were taken with my film camera, and then scanned, so the quality isn't great. Also, it was sweltering hot in the reception room, so if everyone looks a little flushed/shiny, that is why...haha!)

Here is a picture of myself, Sarah and Courtney! I haven't seen these girls in a couple of years or so! It was great to see them!

Me, Sarah & Courtney

Another friend that I haven't seen since her wedding (about 3 years ago) is Kara! I've known Kara since I was about 5 or 6 maybe! We are a lot alike, and I can't believe it's been that long since we've seen each other! Kara, I love and miss you!!!

Me & Kara

The next photo is of the best man, Bryan and myself. I think I've known Bryan since I was about 3 or 4. Dang...that's crazy!

Bryan & Me

You wanna see the groom? Okay, okay! Here is a photo of myself, Justin (the groom) and my brother.

Me, Justin (the groom) & Nathan

Finally, here is a group picture. It is the COTR (Church on the Rock) Quitman reunion photo, if you will...

COTR Quitman

Hope you enjoyed seeing photos from Justin's wedding. I had a great time, and I am so glad that I went because I got to see a lot of old good friends that I grew up with! It was a fun day!

Happy Fourth!

Today we celebrate our nation's freedom...it is Independence Day! (By the way, that's a great movie, I need to watch that again!) In a bit, I'm heading over to Kenan's to hang out for a while, and then I believe we will go downtown to the Port of Beaumont tonight and listen to the talented symphony play the beautiful patriotic music, while we watch the glorious fireworks! (Y'all like my use of descriptive adjectives? I try! haha!)

On Tuesday last week (June 28), my brother, Nathan, threw a big surprise party for his girlfriend, Tess. Happy Birthday Tess!

Here is a picture of Tess and me...isn't she beautiful? Nathan is one lucky guy!

Nathan booked the fancy Neches room on Crockett Street, and brought in Brandin Lea, the lead singer of Flickerstick. Brandin Lea happens to be Tess's favorite singer, and she was utterly shocked beyond belief. As Nathan announced Brandin Lea, Tess didn't believe it, and thought it was a joke! But out he came to do a 45-minute acoustic set.

I think Nate was just as excited as Tess...maybe even more...because on one song, Brandin asked Nate to sing with him. Nate was pretty giddy after that!

It was a great party, and I have to give my little bro' props! Way to go, Bubs! Oh, and here is a photo of Kenan and me from that night.

I'm one lucky gal...wouldn't you agree?
